Hello Lady

Strength, with a wink.

Created for a breast cancer awareness initiative connected with Elvis Duran, Hello Lady needed an image that could carry a serious cause without losing personality.

The answer was a custom illustrated character: confident, feminine and immediately recognizable—borrowing the visual language of classic female empowerment imagery and giving it a contemporary, playful voice.

What began as an illustration for apparel became the kind of visual idea capable of carrying an entire campaign.

Hello Lady custom illustration and campaign hero
The Concept

Serious message. Human voice.

Awareness campaigns often face a difficult creative problem. The subject matters deeply—but communicating only through seriousness can make the message easier to tune out.

Hello Lady approached that differently. The character projects confidence rather than vulnerability. The flexed arm communicates strength. The wink adds personality. Pink connects the artwork immediately to breast cancer awareness without requiring the entire idea to be explained.

Together, those elements create something approachable enough to wear and distinctive enough to remember.

Strong.Confident.Unmistakably Her.
Custom Illustration

Building a character people could connect with.

The Hello Lady character was designed around a simple silhouette and a small number of highly recognizable details.

Silhouette
Dark sweeping hair, strong black linework
Headscarf
A patterned pink headscarf
Pose
The flexed arm, a confident expression
Color
Pink used with intention rather than everywhere

The illustration needed enough personality to stand on its own while remaining graphic enough to reproduce on apparel and campaign materials. That balance is what gives the character her identity.

Awareness doesn’t have to be anonymous.

The original character illustration is presented through the campaign applications on this page rather than as an isolated art file.

Hello Lady apparel and T-shirt design
Apparel

Turning an illustration into something people could wear.

Apparel changes the relationship between an audience and a campaign. A graphic isn’t simply seen. Someone chooses to wear it.

That meant Hello Lady needed to work differently from a traditional awareness graphic. It had to feel expressive enough to stand on its own as a piece of design while still remaining connected to the larger cause.

The strong silhouette, limited palette and hand-drawn personality make the illustration naturally suited to apparel.

Wear the Message.Share the Moment.

Campaign Expansion

One character. A much bigger voice.

The strongest campaign assets are recognizable before someone has finished reading the message. Hello Lady has that potential.

At larger scale, the illustration can become the anchor for outdoor advertising, awareness messaging and public-facing campaign creative—using the character rather than a conventional corporate mark as the primary identifier. The same expression that works on a shirt can command an entire city block.

Hello, Lady.

A visual idea built to get noticed.

This is a contemporary visualization of how the original illustration could extend into outdoor campaign media, not documentation of an installed billboard.

Print & Awareness Materials

Personality without losing purpose.

Hello Lady print and awareness collateral

Campaign collateral has a different job from a billboard. Here, the visual identity has to make room for information.

The character provides continuity while typography, icons and structured layouts create space for educational and awareness messaging. That creates a flexible system in which Hello Lady can sometimes be the hero and, at other times, simply provide the recognizable visual cue connecting one piece to another.

One voice. Different conversations.

Media Connection

Taking the conversation on air.

The connection to Elvis Duran gave the project a context beyond the illustration itself. Radio is personal. Listeners develop relationships with the voices they hear every day, making it a natural environment for conversations around awareness, support and community.

Visually, Hello Lady provides a counterpart to that voice—a recognizable character capable of carrying the message into apparel and other campaign touchpoints.

A recognizable voice. A recognizable image. One conversation worth having.

Hello Lady community and campaign finale
Community

Strength looks different on everyone.

Breast cancer awareness ultimately isn’t about a color, a ribbon or a campaign. It’s about people. That gives the Hello Lady character a larger role than simply representing one woman. She can become a visual expression of confidence, conversation and solidarity across a much broader community.

The character may be singular. The idea behind her isn’t.

Stronger Together.

The project demonstrates how a strong central visual can do more than decorate a campaign. It can organize it. When audiences recognize the character, every new application begins with something familiar.

The Original Project

An original illustration with room to grow.

The original Hello Lady project centered on custom illustration and apparel graphics created for a breast cancer awareness initiative associated with Elvis Duran. The character and original graphic work are the foundation of this case study.

For this AgencyFix presentation, that original creative has been re-presented and expanded through contemporary campaign visualizations—including outdoor, print, broadcast and community applications—to demonstrate how a memorable illustration can become the center of a broader visual campaign. The expanded imagery shows the potential of the original creative idea, not documentation that every application depicted was produced as part of the original engagement.

Why It Works

Give the message a face.

Logos create recognition. Characters can create connection.

Hello Lady works because the illustration does more than identify the campaign. She gives it attitude, emotion and a point of view. People don’t need to decode a complicated visual system. They meet her.

Sometimes the strongest brand asset isn’t a logo at all.

Hello, Lady.

Strong enough to carry a message.
Distinctive enough to carry a campaign.

Make the Message Memorable

Give people something worth noticing.

AgencyFix develops identities, illustrations and campaign creative designed to turn ideas into recognizable visual experiences—from a single graphic to the system that grows around it.
