Business idea generator

Business ideas that somebody is already searching for.

Tell us what you can actually do, what you can put in, and where you are. We generate a dozen businesses built around you — then measure the real monthly search demand behind every single one and throw away the ones nobody is looking for. You get the survivors, researched properly, and the rejects too, with their numbers.

The problem with idea lists

Anyone can suggest a business. Almost nobody measures one.

Ask any AI for business ideas and you’ll get ten confident paragraphs, complete with a market size, a margin and a competitor count — all of it invented, and all of it reading beautifully. It costs nothing to produce and it’s worth exactly that. The reason this tool exists is that the measuring is the hard part, and the measuring is the only part that matters.

We generate wide, on purpose

Twelve ideas, not three. They’re cheap to produce and most of them are meant to die — generating a lot is what makes the filter worth anything.

Then the data votes, not the AI

Every one of the twelve gets its real monthly search volume pulled from live keyword data. The ranking is arithmetic. An idea we loved that nobody searches for is dropped, and it gets no say in the matter.

You see what we threw away

With the numbers that killed each one. A generator that only shows you its winners is indistinguishable from one that made them up.

What you get

Three ideas, researched like you were about to start one.

Real demand behind every idea

The actual monthly search volume for what each business sells, and what a click costs. Every idea we present carries its number — no number, no idea.

Who you’d be up against

Your real local competitors for the shortlist, by name, pulled from Google Maps — how many, how established, and how far behind you’d be starting.

Survival odds, per industry

Government data on how many businesses in that sector are still trading after one, five and ten years. Some of these ideas are much safer bets than others.

The cheapest test for each

The smallest thing you could do this month that would prove or kill the idea before you spend real money. If an idea has no cheap test, it doesn’t make the report.

The first concrete step

For the one we’d start, what you actually do on Monday morning. Not “validate your market” — the specific first move.

The marketing opening

Where the customers for each idea are already looking, what it would take to be the one they find, and what we’d do about it if you wanted help.

What we measure

Real sources. Not a chatbot’s best guess.

1

Live search demand

Real monthly search volumes and click costs, pulled per idea from paid keyword data. This is the filter everything else hangs off.

2

Your real local competitors

From Google Maps for your area, by name, with ratings and review counts — so “crowded” is a number, not an adjective.

3

Industry survival rates

Bureau of Labor Statistics survival tables for each sector we shortlist.

4

Who lives there and what they earn

Census data on your area — whether there are enough of the right customers with money to spend on this.

5

What people actually say

Real public discussions about businesses like these — what customers complain about, and what owners warn each other about before you find out the hard way.

6

You

Your skills, your budget, your hours and the work you flatly refuse to do. The same idea is a completely different bet depending on who’s running it, and it’s the constraint most idea lists ignore entirely.

How it works

Three questions free. Then the machine runs.

1

Answer three quick questions

What you’re actually good at, where you are, and roughly what you can put in. Two minutes with Jessica, our AI — no form, no account.

2

Get one real idea, free

We generate ideas for your situation and show you the best one that has genuine measured demand behind it, with the number. This is a real idea for you, not a sample report.

3

Decide if it’s worth $49

If it is, you pay once and Jessica asks the questions that stop the ideas being generic — your real budget, your real hours, and the work you’d turn down even if it paid well.

4

The full run

Twelve ideas, all measured, the survivors researched in full. A person on our team reads every report before it goes out. It arrives by email.

Why it matters

The expensive mistake isn’t a bad idea. It’s a year spent on one.

Most people don’t fail because they picked the wrong business — they fail because they picked it in the dark, then spent eighteen months and their savings finding out what a $49 measurement would have told them in a week. This is meant to be the cheapest step you take, and the first one. And if we get your situation wrong, tell us and we re-run the whole thing free.

Start here

Tell Jessica what you’re good at.

Jessica is the same AI we build for clients. Tell her what you can actually do and roughly where you are, and she’ll generate an idea for you and measure it free — then explain exactly what the $49 run adds. She won’t suggest an idea she hasn’t measured, and she won’t quote you a number she doesn’t have.

These are just examples — ask Jessica anything:
Hi — I’m Jessica. Tell me what you’re actually good at and roughly where you are, and I’ll generate a business idea for you and measure the real demand behind it, free. Three quick questions, no account.
Licensed electrician, 11 years, Austin. Maybe 8 grand and 25 hours a week.
Here’s one: EV charger installation for apartment blocks. 2,400 people a month search for that in your area, and your licence is the barrier most people can’t get past. The $49 run generates twelve like it, measures all of them, and shows you the ones it threw away. Want it?
Common questions

What business should I start? Let’s measure it.

Is this just ChatGPT with a nice wrapper?

The ideas start with a model — that part is cheap and we don’t pretend otherwise. What you’re paying for is everything after: every idea is measured against live keyword data, most are thrown away by arithmetic rather than opinion, and only the survivors get real competitor and survival research. We run an automated check that rejects the report if it presents any idea without a measured demand figure behind it, and it gets rebuilt until it passes.

What if the ideas are obvious?

Some will be, and that’s not a failure — an obvious idea with 2,400 people a month searching for it beats a clever one with nine. What you’re buying is knowing which of the obvious ones is actually the biggest, in your area, with your skills, and what standing up against the people already doing it would take.

What if I’d never do any of the ideas?

Then we misread you, and the re-run is free — tell us what we missed and it genuinely produces a different set, because ideas change when the brief changes. That’s why we ask what work you’d turn down even if it paid well. It’s the most useful question in the whole conversation and almost nobody gets asked it.

Do I need money to start?

No, and “basically nothing” is a genuinely useful answer rather than an embarrassing one — it rules out whole categories and makes the remaining ideas much better targeted. Tell Jessica the real number.

I already have an idea. Is this the right tool?

No — you want Is Your Business Idea Good? ($39), which takes the idea you already have and scores it against the same data. This one is for when you don’t have the idea yet.

How long does it take?

The run takes a few minutes. Then a real person on our team reads every report before it’s sent — we’d rather be a little slower than send you something we haven’t checked. It arrives by email.

What if I want to go again?

Ask Jessica — there’s a better rate for three runs, and she’ll only bring it up if it genuinely fits what you tell her. People come back either to go again with a sharper brief or to explore a completely different direction. If you just want one set of ideas, buy one run.

$49, one time

Stop guessing what to start.

Three questions, and one real idea measured free. If the research doesn’t look genuine to you, don’t buy anything.
